Genuine Samsung boards don&#8217;t have that.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The board was made after the label&#8217;s date<\/strong>. The date code on the back reads 16 25, which would be week 16 of\u00a02025. The front label says 2024.04, so the board is about a year newer than the date on its label.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The serial on the label doesn&#8217;t match the firmware<\/strong>. The label reads S6Z1NJ0X307626H, while my notes from August say the firmware reported S6Z1NJ0X307625. That firmware serial comes from those notes, not from the drive now, but I recorded it twice there. A label that doesn&#8217;t match its own drive usually means it was copied from another unit.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00c9s ez az, amit akkor l\u00e1tott, amikor a g\u00e9pben volt az SSD:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What the drive claimed to be<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Model Samsung SSD 990 PRO 1TB, firmware 4B2QJXD7, serial S6Z1NJ0X307625.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Proof it isn&#8217;t a Samsung<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>lspci showed the device as [10ec:5765]. 10ec is Realtek and 5765 is the RTS5765 controller.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>nvme id-ctrl reported vid and ssvid (the vendor IDs) as 0x10ec, which is Realtek. A genuine Samsung reports 0x144d.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It asked the host for a Host Memory Buffer, meaning it borrows the computer&#8217;s RAM because it has no DRAM of its own. A real 990 PRO has DRAM and never does this.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It linked at PCIe 3.0, where a real 990 PRO runs at PCIe 4.0.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Health data that was clearly made up<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>power_on_hours: 636 on a machine that had been running continuously for about 1,240 hours.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>controller_busy_time: 0 after 244 million write commands.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>unsafe_shutdowns: 3, while the genuine WD SN850 in the same machine logged 50 through the same power events.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">How it behaved: the 2026-08-16 freeze<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Writes slowed to about 400 ms each under sustained load.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The drive sat at 100% busy with about 130 requests waiting, while the hard disks sda\/sdb were only 8\u201311% busy with 2\u20134 ms latency.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The whole system stalled on disk I\/O, with \/proc\/pressure\/io at full avg300 = 73 %.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contributing factors: the cache used 931 of the drive&#8217;s 1000 GB, and no_discard_passdown meant it never got a TRIM.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mismatches with the photos<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The label serial \u2026307626H doesn&#8217;t match the firmware&#8217;s \u2026307625.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The board date code is week 16 of 2025, but the label says 2024.04.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The back of the board is printed RTS5765DL, which matches the 10ec:5765 that lspci reported.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Szerencs\u00e9re az Amazon kb. mukk n\u00e9lk\u00fcl visszaadja a p\u00e9nzt, csak k\u00fcldjem vissza b\u00e1rhogyan a hamis term\u00e9ket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Az \u00faj meg holnap \u00e9rkezik.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Egy \u00e9vig haszn\u00e1ltam, mire gyan\u00fas lett, hogy valami nem remek.
